Proclaiming the works of God

The Lord calls us to proclaim His glorious works from one generation to another. I am contimplating all the Lord has done in us and throught the Gateway Center for World Mission over this last year. This past week was incredibly intense. We had to finish our annual report, prepare for the annual board meeting and put all this together for a fundraiser. During process of preparation we had the opportunity to reflect on all the Lord has done. Often our plans were out the window, but we would find ourselves in a place of ministry or moving in a different direction than we had intended. The one thing we realized that God is always faithful, always there, and never fails. The key was not to look at the circumstances around us but to be obedient to the Lord in the situation we find ourselves. There is an often used phrase of not reminding God of the bigness of our circumstances, but reminding our circumstances of the bigness of our God.

Why is it important to know God as He really is?

  Trust   in   the   LORD   with all   thine heart;   and   lean   not   unto   thine own understanding. Prov. 3:5-KJV These are chaotic times when evil seems to be rising up everywhere.  More and more we realize that only God can bring a lasting shift and  salvation. We have to trust Him to do more than man can do.  Trust can only come from a source that has proven to be solid, good, and with the  knowledge that it  is really for you not against you. Many of us say they know God, but do we really know him as he is or do we  place our trust in a God that fits our understanding. A Kingdom Viewpoint and Kingdom Results I have often taught on Caleb and Joshua as people of a different spirit.  They saw the bigness of God rather than the natural barriers of the giants in the land. Most of the Spies saw themselves like grasshoppers and they feared the giants in the land the Lord had promised.
