Haitan women a power house, women to women the power to launch
In my travels through the nations, I have seen that women helping women is one of the most powerful forces to bring about life, stability and change among the worlds poor. There is great power in the gathering of a small number who are strengthened with God's power and committed to break off the oppression of staggering poverty and overwhelming obstacles.
We are given the example of the Israelites in Gideon's time who had given in to evil and had become decimated by their enemies the Midianites. The Midianites would come in and ruin the crops, plug the wells and impoverish the people to the point where they lived in caves. God came to Gideon and chose three hundred committed people to route a vast horde that had overwhelmed them. Once they began, the whole nation rose up and displaced their enemies.
No where is that more evident than in the nation of Haiti. For generations people followed after Satan and he has impoverished the people and destroyed the land. All their resources have been ruined or stolen. Women have born the brunt of these conditions and have all but given up hope of being released from their bondage to prosper.
On June 20 to 23rd, 2013 over three hundred women leaders will be coming together from churches around the southern Haitian city of Les Cayes to be strengthened, delivered from burdens and empowered to go back to their villages and help others do the same. Many of them will come out of the mountains and walk long distances to get there. Like Gideon's three hundred, they are committed to be the spark that will inspire Christians all over to rise up in prayer and strength to remove the spiritual bondage that has held them prisoner and kept them impoverished.
They need help. It will cost $40 US for each of these dear ones to be able to travel, be fed and experience the teaching and receive prayer. No one understands the needs of women like other women. We need a miracle in three weeks of $14, 000 US to care for and equip these modern Haitian warriors to route the forces of evil in Haiti. Think of it, three or four hundred women joining hand in hand in hand with these women to launch a movement. Better yet groups of women rallying groups of women to carry it to the nation.
