Sing a New Song



Day 12
Sing to the Lord  a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.2 Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.3 Declare his glory among the nations,
    his marvelous deeds among all peoples.4 For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise, he is to be feared above all gods. Ps 96: 1-4 -NIV
Celebrate the King is in our field!  Our King, Jesus is asking us to sing to the Lord a NEW song and sing it to the whole earth.  The month of Elul is a time of seeking truth.  In Nehemiah 8, which happened during the month of Elul,  the people who had been restored to their inheritance gathered together and asked for the law of God to be read to them.  The law was to be a mirror to reflect who they were and bring repentance.  With repentance comes revival and a chance for a fresh start. Man was created to reflect the image of God, but the reflection of his own nature after the fall shows a different picture to the world.
Expanding Christ's Kingdom:
This is a time of reflection and planning for the Gateway Center's ministry in the next year.  The Lord is calling us to sing a greater song in the nations.  We are being challenged to expand and do what we have been called to do in new ways that will bring Glory to God and life to people.
Personal Reflection:  What song is your life singing to the world?  When people look at your life as a believer how do they perceive God.  Ask God to help you sing a "new" today.

Why is it important to know God as He really is?

  Trust   in   the   LORD   with all   thine heart;   and   lean   not   unto   thine own understanding. Prov. 3:5-KJV These are chaotic times when evil seems to be rising up everywhere.  More and more we realize that only God can bring a lasting shift and  salvation. We have to trust Him to do more than man can do.  Trust can only come from a source that has proven to be solid, good, and with the  knowledge that it  is really for you not against you. Many of us say they know God, but do we really know him as he is or do we  place our trust in a God that fits our understanding. A Kingdom Viewpoint and Kingdom Results I have often taught on Caleb and Joshua as people of a different spirit.  They saw the bigness of God rather than the natural barriers of the giants in the land.
